Hi, I'm Andy Marin. I grew up in Southern California, moved to Costa Rica in 2010 and to Nosara in 2015, and I've been working as a photographer ever since. Most mornings you'll find me in the water or on the beach with a camera in hand. Surf photography isn't just something I do, it's part of my everyday life.

Since 2023, I've been working as an in-water photographer for Surf Simply, the world's leading surf coaching resort. You'll often see me at my happiest swimming around with the team, scoring super fun in-water shots.

I also love shooting family portraits, especially of families with babies or young children. I care about capturing real moments, not stiff, over-posed set-up shots. I'm a proud dad of three kids who definitely keep life fun and full, so I understand what it takes to get genuine, relaxed photos of families and kids.

You might know my surf photography as Andy Loves Tacos. I wanted a name surfers would actually remember, since you can't really have your phone on you while surfing, and honestly, I really do love tacos!
